Description: A thriving and compact resort which is Jordan’s only port. The city is easily navigated and has a variety of superior quality hotels on offer, some of which provide diving and other water sports facilities.
Sightseeing and excursions: Full-day trips to Petra or Wadi Rum; Scuba diving in the Red Sea; Aqaba’s museum and ancient fort.
Beaches: Day passes are available at the major hotels for entrance to their well maintained sandy beaches.
Shopping: Hebron glass, Mother of Pearl boxes, gold and silver, olive wood. The Jerusalem Market is a short taxi ride from the port.
